The DTC is a brand new facility that was opened at Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital early in 2005. It is built adjacent to the main hospital using £7.5 million of public funding. The centre houses three operating theatres, and endoscopy suite, breast diagnostic and breast screening facilities and twelve beds for patients who need to stay in hospital overnight.
The DTC aims to treat approximately 13,000 patients per year when fully operational across a range of specialties including General Surgery, Urology, Orthopaedics, ENT and Gynaecology.
